Autism Help for Teachers

For Professionals

At Help With Autism we value the support we can give you above all else. That is why these pages are dedicated to giving advice and help. Our aim is to keep adding content here regularly to answer your frequently (and maybe not so frequently) asked questions.

As teachers, we understand how important it is to be able to find good quality information and practical solutions all in one place. Our recommendations are easy to implement in the classroom without having to spend hours of your own time finding or making resources. In many cases our tips and interventions will benefit your whole class.

If you cannot find the information you are looking for here, please email and we will endeavour to find a solution for you.

This area of the site is currently under construction but will contain advice on the following topics:
- What is autism?
- Signs of autism
- Communication
- Classroom support
- Removing barriers to learning
- Break and lunch times
- Transitions
